In this one-hour session, you’ll learn how to trim rough stone slabs to remove excess material, then refine and smooth your piece into a polished cabochon - a gemstone with a domed top and flat base, as traditionally used in historical jewellery. Guided by Cleo and Sarah, you’ll gain hands-on experience using professional lapidary tools and techniques. Together, you’ll explore the transformation from raw stone to finished gem, discovering the patience, precision, and mindfulness that define this timeless art form.
